Located in the Bronx, next door to the "Bronx Zoo," the crown jewel
of the New York Botanical Garden is the Enid Haupt Convservatory, a huge
indoor garden including tropical, rain forest, water garden, and desert
environments. The Paulien family spent many Sabbath afternoons back
in the 50s and 60s, enjoying the beauties of the greenhouse and its surrounding
plantings. The next generation of Pauliens was too tired (from a
visit to the zoo) to explore beyond the conservatory.
