Assignments for Module 1
1. Online Participation. (15% of Final Grade)
Students are expected to participate in the Question for the Week assignment and any online class discussions which may be scheduled.
2. Reading Assignments (20% of Final Grade)
You will be expected to submit a report about the article not to exceed four pages of content. Reports should provide a 2 page synopsis of the content of the article while the 3rd and 4th pages of the report will be your personal critical analysis of the main ideas in the article. This critique must be word-processed (Word Perfect of Microsoft Word) 12 pt. single spaced pages
Your critical analysis will show how relevant you feel the authorsideas are to the role of a technology leader. Again, the paper will be graded heavily your analysis of the relevance and significance of the authors ideas in the role of the technology leader. The rubric for grading these critiques is found in the table below.

5. Collaborative Project - Development of the Outline of a Technology Funding Plan - Module #3. (65% of Final Grade for Module 3)
- Computers and technology usage are with us to stay. In the immediate past, computer hardware and software for K-12 schools may have been purchased using one-time donations and grants. The challenge now is to "keep up" with new and demanding hardware and software requirements, without special one-time funding..
- Together with one of two other class members, you will work collaboratively to design a 3-5 year plan to fund the technology in a workplace of your choice...school, school district, university/college or workplace.
- This plan must be a minimum of 3,000 words and no more than 4,000 words (12-15 pages) . This will be 12 pt. single spaced pages and MUST INCLUDE a minimum of a 3 page CONCLUSION as a rationale for why you believe this plan would work for your particular school or work situation.
