Dr. Jim Jeffery is the Dean of the School of Education. at Andrews University. He also is a Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Leadership. He received a B.A. degree (majors in history and psychology) from Columbia Union College, an M.A. degree (school counseling) from Andrews University, and a Ph.D. in educational administration from the University of Alberta. In 2002, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in TBDL (technology-based distributed learning) from the University of British Columbia and is currently working on a Master's of Educational Technology degree. Before coming to Andrews University in September, 1999, Dr. Jeffery served as Dean of the Division of Professional Development and Chair of the Department of Education at Canadian University College, Lacombe, Alberta. Prior to that he served for 7 years as a school superintendent in Ontario and Newfoundland, a high school principal in Alberta (7 years) and an elementary school principal in Newfoundland (5 years). |
Dr. Jeffery was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada. He is married to Donna who graduated with an Ed.S. (Specialist in Education) degree in School Psychology from Andrews University in 2002. Donna works as a school psychologist with the South Bend Community School Corporation in South Bend, Indiana.
